Deep Springs Church
Pastor Oliver
Oliver and Esther have been ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ for over twenty-two years, having pastored eight of those years with the Rivers District of the Assembly of God, in South-Eastern Nigeria, before moving to the US in 1998. They have witnessed the supernatural healing power of God in their own lives and ministry, witnessed dozens of lives delivered and transformed from the grip of the enemy to the marvelous light of Jesus Christ.
They have mentored hundreds of young men and women in college campuses, and took part in overseas mission for training young Christian leaders at Bible colleges. Oliver was former prayer pastor at Mount Olivet Assembly of God, Apple Valley, MN, during which time they witnessed a unique move of God. Oliver is a graduate of Pentecostal Theological Seminary of Nigeria (AG); also studied at Bethel Seminary St. Paul, MN. He then went on to study psychology at the University of Minnesota and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota respectively. He is certified by the Board of US Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA) as Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. Oliver holds a doctorate in clinical psychology, and also a candidate for the Research Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) at Oxford University, UK. He is an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He is happily married to Esther, and their marriage is blessed with two children.
About the Church Plant
In the spring of 2010, at a Minnesota District Pastor’s Prayer retreat, God has spoken to Oliver concerning the destiny of the unchurched and the over 68,000 immigrants in the southern suburbs of Minnesota, who needed to experience the love of Christ in a honoring and celebrative church-home that is truly diverse, yet relevant, substantive, and engaging. The passage in I kings 19:17-18 was very relevant as the need to plant a multicultural church in Eagan became evident upon consultation with other church leaders in the area. Oliver and Esther have been specifically prepared by God for this task, and believe that their experience and training will be greatly used of God in the harvest of souls, through planting Deep Springs Church in the Eagan Community. The church currently meets at the Hilton Garden Inn, Eagan. A public launch is scheduled for spring 2012.
