Eagles Grove Church opens new building

Eagle’s Grove Church in Annandale (Pastor Jason Pence) will be holding their first service in their new building on May 20.  The church passed their final inspection on Monday, May 14 and were issued their certificate of occupancy.  The church will be celebrating with a chili cook off following the service.  You can find out more by visiting their facebook page or their webpage.

Special Event with Geoff Surratt

MCM, Substance Church and North Central University are partnering for the first time to host a very special Church Multiplication Event with Geoff Surratt.  The event will be held at North Central's CLC building on Wednesday March 7, 2012 from 10 AM until 3 PM.  Lunch will be provided by North Central so an RSVP will be neccessary to attend the event.  

Geoff is a leader in the church multiplication movement happening all accross the country.  He has served as Saddleback Church's Pastor of Church Planting and Seacoast Church's Executive Pastor.  Geoff now serves as the Director of Exponential (www.exponential.com).  He also works with churches on strategy, structure and vision as a free agent church encourager and catalyst.  He has over twenty0nive years of ministry experience in the local church and is the author of several books including "The Multi-site Church Revlotuion" and "10 Stupid Things That Keep Churches From Growing".

New Resource: Giving Rocket

In these economic times it can be difficult for your congregations to continue to be faithful in giving tithes and offerings.  Giving Rocket provides a resource to all it's members that helps them encourage their congregations to remain committed in this area.  The site is very clear that it is not intended for Capital Campaigns but many of the principles can be applied.  The site comes complete with coaching for pastors as well as pre-made email campaigns to your giving families and messages about giving.  The down side is the cost.  The site is a membership based service starting at around 100 dollars a month.  In reviewing the site I found that you can obtain many of the resources/training for free as long as you are willing to do some leg-work.  If you would like to check out the site (which I do recommend) you can visit them at www.givingrocket.com.

Church Online Platform

The creators of Youversion, churchmetrics, videoteaching, swerve and open.lifechurch are doing it again.  Lifechurch.tv out of Oklahoma (Pastor Criag Groeschel) is releasing a new resource that will help churches create a presence on the internet that will show their worship services and help connect believers and create community.  The site went live recently and you can check it out here.
